Sullivan Gymnasium
"Basketball doesn't build character, it reveals it."
The SM Legacy supported a naming campaign to recognize Jerry Sullivan for his dedication to the students of South Milwaukee. Jerry coached basketball from 1963–1977 and taught social sciences at the high school for 32 years. He contributed not only to the success of the basketball program, but also to the education and development of many South Milwaukee students.
We invite you to join us in honoring Coach Sullivan with the naming of the South Milwaukee Field House gymnasium. This unique opportunity is offered to pay tribute and acknowledge his positive influence.
Your gift or pledge to this worthy cause will continue to pay tribute to Coach Sullivan and help with improvements to the new campus.

Jerry was a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association and Northland College halls of fame. In 1976 he coached South Milwaukee High School to the WIAA Class A state championship over Dick Bennett's Eau Claire Memorial team. His Rockets won 223 games and lost 98 spanning 1963 through 1977. He spent over 30 years as associate director of the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Camps, which were integral in establishing a fan base for the Bucks when they were an NBA expansion team in the late 1960s. Jerry was also an outstanding athlete at Northland College from 1953-1957, excelling in basketball, football and track.
