South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center Heritage Wall
Performing Arts Center Wishes do come true. After 50 years of wishing South Milwaukee had a state of the art auditorium, those wishes became reality in fall 2004. No other school in the area has better facilities for students, faculty and audiences of the performing arts. The main hall seats 778 viewers in comfort. The orchestra pit and scenery loft facilitate production for faculty and student performers. In addition this excellent facility is also be available for community use.
	Heritage Wall The SM Legacy has launched a campaign to honor those who have supported the performing arts for the last half century or more. A large bronze tree is mounted on the wall facing the ticket booths in a place where students and visitors will pass and be reminded of the lasting importance of the performing arts. Faculty members who have contributed to the excellence of the theatre and musical productions, and band, orchestra and choir concerts will be honored by cast bronze rocks placed beneath the tree.

The first to be honored are Sharon Awe, Arthur Drews, Earl Kneevers, Annette Kuligowski, Donald Stiemke and Connie U’Ren. Additional honorees may be added as interest is shown.

Your Gift

Leaves

Your gift or pledge to this worthy cause will pay tribute to Sharon, Art, Earl, Annette, Don, Connie and future honorees and help with improvements to the new campus that are beyond the scope of the referendum. Supporters of the South Milwaukee Performing Arts are invited to purchase a personalized leaf that will be permanently placed on the Heritage Wall Legacy Tree outside the new Performing Arts Center.

Leaves are being sold to honor the past and inspire students and the community to build the future. Your gift will also contribute to the goal of $7,500 for an individual bronze rock honoring an additional performing arts community builder. Submit the name of the individual to The SM Legacy for consideration.

Leaves may be personalized with a name, special date, SMHS class information, or the name of a company or club. Gold leaves are $500.00, silver leaves are $300.00 and bronze leaves are $200.00.
